Feathered Focus … $500

Birds are one of my favorite subjects and eagles are at the top of the list. This work features the face of a Bald Eagle and his attention is certainly focused on either his prey, an intruder, or perhaps this is just his “look”.

This work is approximately 16” by 13” and constructed by hand from a white earthenware clay body. It was bisque fired to cone 04 (1945 degrees F), then glazed with three coats of low temperature glazes and traditionally glaze fired to cone 06 (1828 degrees). The background panels were stained with a black ink after the bisque firing.
